LNT Camping! Leave No Trace style camping is the rage with lots of people based on the camping style from Burning Man groups! We're applying this method to our campsite as well!

THE VISION

Our Story

Dragonfly Campground Texas began with the vision of becoming a private campsite for individuals to escape from city life and enjoy mother nature at its finest.

This 31-acre property is made up of magnificent  trees, open cleared areas and three ponds - with the property line outlined by more lush trees!

Leave No Trace Camping is the style of camping where you leave the camp grounds just as you found them. You bring your own water, collect your own trash, provide your own meals; you are 100% self-sufficient and self-sustained during your entire stay! No one would ever know you were there.

    Leave No Trace Camping is the style of camping where you leave the camp grounds just as you found them when you leave the premises. You bring your own water, collect your own trash, provide your own meals, you are 100% self-sufficient and self-sustained during your entire stay! These principles were established by the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, and built on work by the US Forest Service, National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management in the mid 1980s. The principles are based on and informed by scientific research in the fields of recreation ecology and human dimensions of natural resources.

    Welcome to our exclusive members-only campground, where we like to keep things cozy! We don’t discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. So, if your group is searching for an open-minded venue to let loose, just drop us an email! We’ll gladly schedule your event, ensuring you have a private space without any uninvited guests crashing the fun. After all, we believe that diversity and inclusivity aren’t just buzzwords; they’re the secret sauce to our campfire success!

    Only if those "children" are 21 and older! Our campground is an adult escape—a sanctuary where grown-ups can kick off their shoes, let their hair down, and forget about responsibilities (at least until the next work email comes in). It’s high time you indulge in some self-care and relaxation—because if you can’t enjoy nature with a cocktail in hand, are you even doing it right?


    Not to worry, though! We will host family-friendly weekends throughout the year, ensuring that folks of all ages can enjoy our campgrounds. So bring the kids when the time is right, but remember —during our adult weekends, the only “kids” allowed are the ones who think they can still party like they did in college!

    We have conversion sheds that are comfy cabins! We currently have 3 available to reserve!  They come with a full-sized bed, end table, overhead light with fan & themed decor including matching bed sheets! Yes, they come with electricity as well!

    We currently have Primitive Camping, Auto Primitive Camping, Camping Plus (or Camplus) which is camping with electric, Yurts with electric & themed cabins! For details on each of these, check out our Camp Options section on the next page!

    Unfortunately, we cannot host any RVs,  RV trailers, large campers or anything similar at this time. There is a new county ordinance that requires all RV spots to be surfaced with specific types of materials. Not only the spots but all roads leading to them. So, until we build enough funds for those, we cannot host any RVs. Feel free to click on the donate button to help fund that road work!

    Yes! We love dogs, especially well-behaved ones! Our property has plenty of spaces for dogs to run around free! They'll love our trees, cleared areas and wide open spaces near the back of the property!

    We firmly believe that grown-ups are more than capable of choosing their own wardrobe—or lack thereof! Whether that means donning a three-piece suit or channeling your inner Adam and Eve. Feel free to be as fully robed or as scantily clad as your heart desires! After all, we're adults here, and the only thing stricter than our style code is our commitment to freedom. So, go ahead and strut, sashay, or streak—this is a judgment-free zone where your outfit choices are as boundless as your imagination!

    We organize a variety of activities, including movie screenings, workshops, meetings and lots more. We have a creek for relaxing walks, a swimming pool to stay refreshed and lots of places to discover as you walk the property! We also host guest speakers and other events to provide opportunities for learning, growth and entertainment!

    Bonham TX is the county seat of Fannin County with a population of 10.8K people. A short 15 minute drive will get you to Walmart, fast food, hardware stores & a variety of restaurants!
